1. Portfolio Course For Seniors
Seniors, Gap Year, Transfer Students
Fall is college application season, which means that seniors applying to art programs or using art portfolios as supplements need to finish their portfolios and school-specific assignments. At Oogie, seniors finish their portfolios strong and receive help with artwork arrangement, art descriptions, artist statements, and expert college advice.
2. Art Portfolio Course
Grade 7-8 (Art specialized high school)
Grade 9 & up (Art Portfolio)
Building a A+ art portfolio takes A LOT of skill, commitment, and time. Whether you are a student preparing to apply to art programs in a year or two, using your art as a supplement for Ivy League, or just passionate about art, our portfolio course offers students the type of rigorous, individualized classes that emphasize technique, creativity, exploration, and personal expression they won't be able to find anywhere else in Shanghai.
3. Junior Art Course
Middle school is a time of rapid changes physically, mentally, and emotionally. With Oogie Art's Junior Art Course, students have a creative outlet to express their emotions, learn independent thinking, and transform ideas into reality. With a solid foundation of technical skills, experience in various media, and basic art theory, our students become well prepared for challenging art courses in high school such as IB and AP.
4. AP Art & Design
AP, or Advanced Placement®, are college level courses offered by The College Board that enables students to pursue college level work with the opportunity to earn college credit and/or advanced placement in American universities.
Oogie Art's AP Drawing and AP 2D Art & Design courses are approved by The College Board. Students who complete the course will receive official transcripts, as well as a portfolio for assessment by College Board in May.
5. Art Competition Prep
Participating in art competitions, especially internationally recognized ones, such as the Scholastics Art and Writing and YoungArts can boost your resume and increase the likelihood of college scholarships. For more than 20 years, Oogie Art has helped students win thousands of prestigious art awards, including Scholastics National Gold Keys, Scholastics Gold Portfolios, YoungArts finalists, YoungArts Presidential Scholarships, and Congressional Art Awards.
