The Paris Research Program
Scholarly Research. Studio Practice. Global Publication.
June 29th - July 8th
Advanced Field Research & Studio. This program transforms Paris into a living classroom. Students conduct independent, on-site research on topics ranging from Architecture and Art History to AI, Environmental Science, and Museum Studies. Students critically analyze sites and artworks to develop their own unique thesis, rather than simply visiting them.
Distinguished Mentorship & Publication:
World-Class Guidance: Students write a research paper under the direct mentorship of Richard Vine, former Senior Editor of Art in America.
Published Author Credential: The final research paper, accompanied by the student's artwork, will be published by Oogie Art Press. This serves as a powerful academic credential for college and graduate applications.
Program Structure:
Pre-Departure: Proposal submission and topic selection.
Morning Sessions (In Paris): Site research, museum analysis, and critical presentations.
Afternoon Sessions (In Paris): Creative Studio with Ms. Choi, developing artworks inspired by the day’s research.
1-on-1 Mentorship: Individual sessions with Richard Vine to refine writing and deepen analysis.
Admissions Note: This program is exclusively reserved for current Oogie Art students.
